E. Brooke Martin, LCSW
Clinical Director & Therapist
Specialities: Neurodiversity, Holistic Mental Health, Neurofeedback, Brain Mapping, Brain Training, & EMDR
Brooke is a Licensed Clinical Social worker. She graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Missouri State University, where she currently supervises practicum students. Brooke has been a therapist since January of 2015 and has been trained in EMDR therapy since 2016 and neurofeedback since 2023. In this time, she has worked in non-profit, medical, and private practice settings and discovered her passion for working towards healing in a more holistic manner that incorporates mental health, nutrition, physical health, and other parts of an individual into their treatment. Brooke specializes in working with adults who have been diagnosed or suspect that are neurodivergent. This includes adults on the spectrum, those with ADHD, or those who may have tendencies of both. Additionally, Brooke specializes in working with trauma by utilizing EMDR therapy and also incorporates other body movements into her trauma work such as walking, vagus nerve exercises, and more. Brooke has a family of her own ranging from toddlers to a teen and loves getting to spend time with their adventurous spirits. In their free time, Brooke and her husband enjoy business coaching, completing remodel projects together, and being a part of their church community. Brooke loves seeing her people begin the process of learning to handle life's challenges with her help and growing in their ability to handle them on their own.

She brings a unique perspective to her work, having spent 18 years in Asia as a missionary kid. Her lived experience allows her to deeply empathize with individuals and families navigating cultural transitions, communication challenges, and the longing to feel seen and understood. As a neurodivergent clinician, Leah is especially attuned to the complexities of interpreting behaviors, building meaningful connections, and creating environments where clients can thrive. She is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families through seasons of change, helping them gain clarity, foster connection, and move toward healing. Leah specializes in working with families, third-culture individuals, and neurodiverse children and adults. Whether someone is adjusting to a new culture, learning the emotional language of their spouse, or trying to understand their child’s neurodivergent needs, Leah provides a compassionate and safe space to explore those challenges. Her goal is to ensure clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to live a balanced, fulfilling life.

Kala Brown, Counseling Intern
Therapy Intern
Specialties: Trauma, Attachment, Foster & Adoptive Families, Integrative Wellness, Adolescents, Family Systems, & Parenting
With nearly two decades of experience in the medical field, Kala Brown brings a deeply compassionate and integrative lens to her work as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at The Mind and Body Clinic. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Evangel University and is honored to walk alongside clients through meaningful, whole-person healing. Before stepping into the world of counseling, Kala served for 17 years as a Registered Nurse (RN), supporting individuals through both physical and emotional health challenges. Her background in nursing laid the foundation for her passion in mind-body connection and trauma-informed care. In recent years, she has also worked as a Certified Health Coach through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), helping clients integrate physical and emotional wellness through practical, holistic tools. As a foster and adoptive mom, Kala has walked through the complexities of attachment, trauma, and family systems in her own home. These life experiences have shaped her therapeutic lens in powerful ways, infusing her work with deep empathy and a calm, relational presence. Kala enjoys working with both teens and adults—particularly those navigating identity formation, emotional intensity, burnout, parenting challenges, or unresolved patterns from the past that are still influencing present relationships. Her heart is to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to grow in self-awareness and emotional resilience. Outside of the office, Kala is a proud mom to five children and has been married for over two decades. She values connection, faith, and laughter—and loves being outdoors, dancing, and living life authentically. Her approach to therapy is infused with warmth, honesty, and a belief that healing happens when we’re given space to be both fully known and gently challenged.
